years ago, i saw the concept of anime journals online and desperately wanted to make layouts of my own. i don't watch anime as much anymore, but i still enjoy making layouts of my favorite characters and shows, so i decided to use this little pocket on my website to showcase them. enjoy!

UM THERE IS A COMMON THEME HERE LOL. when i made these, i was using transgender-coded characters as a way to affirm my own trans-ness, since back then, no one really acknowledged my gender. it was weird because people knew that i was trans, but really did not want to acknowledge it beyond "i know you're queer and i'm an ally."

so, you can obviously see that my layout style has changed quite a bit. i really like the busy, messy aesthetic that i see in some anime/kpop journal spreads online, so i wanted to try and incorporate that aesthetic into my style. i don't watch anime as much anymore, but the anime depicted in the following spreads really left an impact on me.
